AORN Nursing Student Scholarships

• The AORN Foundation offers professional development scholarships to help nurses maintain competency and to ensure safe and high-quality care through select education programs.  The AORN Foundation awards scholarships to students who are pursuing a career in Peri-operative nursing and to registered nurses who are continuing their education in Peri-operative nursing by pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree.

FCORN Scholarships for Peri-operative Nurses

• FCORN offers scholarship for those who want to pursue Peri-operative Nursing.  The Clifford Jordan Scholarship where an applicant must be: in their senior/final year of an accredited nursing program have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; must plan to work in a Peri-operative setting after graduation; and write a letter stating the reason(s) for their application. And for Gerrie Helwig Scholarship, applicants must have finished two semesters at the time of application from an accredited nursing program, have demonstrated a desire to enter a perioperative nursing course internship or already have entered and completed such and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Joseph Hageman Memorial Nursing Scholarship

• The Scholarship is in honor of Joseph Hageman who became the first male graduate of New Jersey’s Trenton State University Nursing Program.  The scholarship will be awarded annually in the amount of $2,250 for students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or the Bachelor of Science program with a major in Nursing.  A scholarship for those pursuing an Associate of applied Science degree in Nursing is also available in the amount of $1,500.  Eligible applicants must be a resident of Craven, Jones or Pamlico counties, must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college and must have a GPA of 3.0.
