- The DAR Scholarship Committee awards scholarships to qualified applicants regardless of race, religion, sex or national origin. All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance at an accredited college or university in the United States. The only exception is the American Indian Scholarship that is available for students pursuing vocational training.
- The Occupational/Physical Therapy Scholarship is awarded to students who are in financial need and have been accepted or are attending an accredited school of occupational therapy (including art, music, or physical therapy).
Kentucky Occupational Nursing Scholarship
- The Patsy Quint Occupational Health Nurses Endowed Scholarship is available to registered nurses from Kansas who is currently pursuing a baccalaureate, master’s or doctoral degree with an emphasis on occupational health. You must be enrolled for at least six credit hours per semester and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award. Additionally, three letters of recommendation and a personal narrative describing your anticipated role in nursing in the state of Kansas are also required. The amount of the award is $500.
Metrolina Association of Occupational Health Nurses Scholarships
- This scholarship shall be for an RN returning to school in pursuit of a BSN. An exception may be made for a BSN student pursuing an MSN should there be no candidate available meeting the preferred pre-requisite. Students should be admitted to the RN/BSN degree program. This scholarship shall be renewable by the same student meeting the established criteria and shall be applied to tuition, books and room and board only.. The recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better. Preference applicants are those interested in Occupational Health Nursing.
Minnesota Occupational Nursing Scholarships
- The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) provides stipend support and tuition reimbursement for students enrolled in full time programs of study. The Mary A. Johnson Memorial Scholarship was established by bequest of Mary Johnson, a graduate of the School of Public Health, University of Minnesota. It supports nurses enrolled in the school. And the Catherine E. Reilly Memorial Scholarship is named for Catherine E. Reilly, a lifelong resident of Syracuse, New York. Ms. Reilly received a master’s degree in public health from the University of Minnesota. She retired in 1976 as director of home care for Onondaga County. The scholarship supports students enrolled in the School of Public Health, University of Minnesota, with a background or interest in nursing.
Newman University Occupational Nursing Scholarships
- Gifts from one of the Spring 2011 honorary degree recipients will create new scholarship programs for students seeking a degree in nursing or an allied health field at Newman University. The gift will create one scholarship, called the Marjorie Chance Scholarship in Nursing that will be awarded to selected students. The Marjorie Chance Scholarship in Nursing will award scholarships to three students each academic year for the next three years. That scholarship program will be replaced by The Marjorie Chance Endowed Nursing and/or Allied Health Scholarship, which begins in fall 2012 and is designed to continue through perpetuity.
New Hampshire Occupational Nursing Scholarships
- New Hampshire Association of Occupational Health Nurses offers the Kathleen Schusler Memorial Scholarship which provides one $1000.00 scholarship to provide opportunities to further professional education or certification for occupational and environmental health professionals (bachelor or graduate degree or OHN certification). The candidate, graduate or undergraduate must be a NEAOHN member and registered nurse preparing for an ABOHN certification. Applicants must submit documentation of registration status.
New Jersey Occupational Nursing Scholarships
- New Jersey State Association of Occupational Health Nurses (NJSAOHN) provides scholarship for registered nurses, employed full or part time in Occupational Health Nursing. No one may nominate a relative or themselves. Past recipients of NJ Nurses of the Year Awards may not apply. Nominations must contain full and factual explanation and justification. Application must be received by January 15, 2012. Any application received beyond this date will be disqualified.
